{"id":1406,"date":"2022-09-20T09:00:46","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T07:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/axeco.0to9.io\/?p=1406"},"modified":"2023-05-22T15:43:09","modified_gmt":"2023-05-22T13:43:09","slug":"plus-announced-the-sale-of-12-acm-stores-to-boni-ah-poiesz-and-boons-markt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axeco.0to9.io\/nl\/plus-announced-the-sale-of-12-acm-stores-to-boni-ah-poiesz-and-boons-markt\/","title":{"rendered":"PLUS announced the sale of 12 ACM stores to Boni, AH, Poiesz and Boon\u2019s Markt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Axeco Corporate Finance is pleased to have advised the management team of PLUS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Competition Authority (ACM) approved the merger\u00a0between the supermarket chains Plus and Coop in 2021, under the condition that 12 supermarkets had to be sold.\u00a0 PLUS came to an agreement with the supermarket chains Boni, Albert Heijn (AH), Poiesz and Boon\u2019s Markt to purchase the 12 supermarkets.\u00a0 All twelve acquired supermarkets are located in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>Boni acquired 8 supermarkets in total; Five PLUS branded stores (Groot-Ammers, Ravenstein, Ruurlo, Terborg and Wehl) and three Coop branded stores (Harmelen, Hollandscheveld and Stolwijk). \u00a0Albert Heijn acquired two PLUS branded stores (Rolde and Wekerom).\u00a0 Poiesz and Boon\u2019s Markt both acquired a single Coop supermarket in Vlieland and Uddel respectively.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The purchase of 8 new stores will give our company a large boost.\u00a0By expanding Boni&#8217;s service area, we offer even more consumers the opportunity to buy high quality groceries at affordable prices.\u00a0We look forward to achieving this together with our new colleagues.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Bouke van der Wal, general manager of Boni<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About PLUS \/ Coop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The merger of PLUS and Coop led to the creation of being the third-biggest supermarket group in the Netherlands. Currently, it operates under the name Plus with around 550 stores and has a market share of more than 10% in the Netherlands. The integration of the two companies resulted in a strong first year as a new cooperative with a consumer turnover of 4.7 billion euros in 2022.
